Find #35: Minquas was here! (GCVVJK)

Although I am of Pontiac decent myself, I held no bias when choosing to visit this cache!  If there was not a huge rock with a plaque for a trail marker to the game preserve, it seemed like you were entering someone's yard!

However, this was great location. One of my favorites so far.  The trail turned rocky and had some pretty cool outcroppings.  Ruins of a old cabin are preserved and still standing near the cache site. Also a nice view of the Old Mill and gardens across the creek.
Near the cache site.  Old cabin remains are top, center

Cachin' away!

If you continue on the trail after finding the cache, you can see a pretty cool garden that seems dedicated to the Minquas as it has sort of an Indian type theme.  I believe it is private property though.  Too bad, looks like a neat place to visit.

Some sort of totem tribute to the Minquas
